Our adapters, AI boxes and video boxes work with the car's own CarPlay system, so the one thing a car needs is factory wired CarPlay (or, for some models, factory wired Android Auto). Use the checks below, then send us the make, model and year and we will confirm before you order.
Check a car in three steps
- 01Plug in a phone with a USB cableIf CarPlay or Android Auto starts on the factory screen, the car has wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto.
- 02Find the CarPlay USB portSome cars have several USB ports and only one carries CarPlay. Note whether it is USB-A or USB-C.
- 03Send us make, model and yearFor BMW and other brands with special systems, include the year and screen size. We confirm the right model for that car.

When these products will not work
- Cars with no factory CarPlay or Android Auto at all. These need a replacement head unit, which we do not sell yet.
- Cars whose maker has removed CarPlay and Android Auto, such as some recent electric models built on the maker's own system.
- Aftermarket head units with their own CarPlay are usually supported, but confirm with us first.
